Motsipiri Consulting was founded by Motsipiri Mothapo with a view of offering transportation planning, traffic engineering, architectural and project management to the public and private organisations. Motsipiri Consulting is dedicated to the empowerment of previously disadvantaged group and has made its policy to employ, cooperate and develop with such companies and induviduals on all its projects.
Motsipiri Consulting aspires to be acknowledged as one of the top transport planning, traffic engineering and planning consulting companies in the world in its core business activities within South Africa and beyond, encouraging and supporting skill-sharing and capacity-building while providing communities with better services and sustainable development.
The company was founded in the Republic of South Africa in July 2013. This consulting firm, which is entirely owned by black people, was established with the goal of providing project management, architectural design, traffic engineering, and transportation planning to both public and private entities. As part of its commitment to empowering formerly marginalized communities, Motsipiri Consulting has made it a policy to work with, collaborate with, and develop initiatives with such businesses and people.
Being part of an integrated team of skilled engineers, technicians, and project managers, Motsipiri Consulting offers cost-effective solutions and specialized services across a broad spectrum of transportation planning, traffic engineering, architectural, and project management disciplines.
The founder Motsipiri Mothapo has over 10 years’ experience in the field of civil engineering which he acquired working for both local government and private sector in South Africa. He was involved in a range of civil engineering projects including transport planning, traffic signals planning, public transport planning, traffic engineering and infrastructure development (including BRT), roads infrastructure planning and development, rural transport, non-motorised transport and municipal infrastructure.
In addition to civil engineering experience, Motsipiri has also experience in architectural design, more especially building designs. He acquired his architectural skills from the technical drawing subject which he obtained during his lower education. The architectural related services offered include implementation of building plans, construction monitoring and quality control.
He is registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering Technologist. He is also a member of South African Institute of Civil Engineering (SAICE) and Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA).
